moving right along

Tomorrow I begin my 32nd week (see baby details below)  I am getting nervous... EXCITED, but nervous.  The first set of baby shower invites were sent out last week.  And the next set for the second shower (I am an extremely lucky girl) will go out in the coming weeks.

Crazy how time flies! We are already experiencing how quickly it goes when you are a parent.  Our son went from nothing to a whole lot of something in such a short time.  I am already afraid of him "growing up too fast." Such a mom. :)

Eric and I are so thankful for where we are and where life has taken us.  We are surrounded by the most amazing parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, neighbors, family friends.. the list goes on and on!  We can't wait for this next chapter of our lives and want to thank everyone for being a part of it!

love,
L, E & baby G.

First Camping Trip - Ever.

After a rough day on Friday, Eric and I headed out to meet Jen, Pete, Jack and Pepper for a camping trip. My first camping trip ever. (John and Sheila aren't campers or body of water go'ers.)  After turning around roughly 7 times to find this campsite in the dark, we finally arrived at 10 o'clock.  I was ready to end the day but Saturday was perfect! The resevoir was gorgeous.  Tony and Helen were very generous to let us borrow thier amazing paddle-style kayak.  We spent an hour on the lake exploring.  Eric taught me all about how to hit waves correctly, boating, skiing, camping, etc.  Very educational trip. :)  We also learned the importance of sunscreen.  Jack was kind enough to give me a soft lecture on it while we layed down for an afternoon rest together in Aunt Laura and Uncle Eric's tent. I had a great time and we are looking forward to next year when we have "two whannikans and a jack." - pg.

Nights aren't complete without a blazin' fire...

And the days aren't complete without a few big smiles!! :)

Thank you, Jen and Pete for introducing me to camping! xo.

Day 1 of blogging

Despite having this site for a while now, I have finally decided to post something. :) Jen will be proud! Eric and I are currently 30 weeks along with our first baby, a little manchild! We are thrilled and these next ten weeks are going to fly by too fast! This weekend we are going camping with Jen, Pete, Jack, and Pepper.  Stay tuned for pictures next week!! xo.
